June 27, 2010 at 11:54 pm #152102Hi, I installed jom comment 3.0.1 in JA Teline III, but it does not show smileys and affects the articles. The photo of the articles has the option “prev” and “next” but it shows photos that should not appear.
Thanks for your help.

June 29, 2010 at 1:13 am #348335I am also interested in this.
My client prefers an intenal commenting system rather than a hosted service such as Intense debate, so i am looking for suitable commenting systems obviously starting with Joomlarts offering since it would appear the most logical chocie, however it seems this does not work well, can someone confirm whether JomComment is a good choice for Teline iii or not. My next alternative would be jComments, anybody have success integrating these two or any other commenting systems in Teline iii
Thanks

Hi, I asked for a refund from JomComment. I’ll try with JA Comment http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/extensions
Did you try it ?

June 29, 2010 at 2:23 am #348343Ive used jComments a lot which is ok but its lacking in some areas and i dont like the looks of it, want to try to avoid as much css work here as possible. JA Comments ive been looking at and it appears to be perfect, although i cant seem to find any latest comments etc modules but maybe i havent looked hard enough. Those are fundamental for this instance.
I really like Intense debate, but my site is not in english and Intense debate is a mess in this department, i wrote them asking about actually fully translating their code, right now its half one language and half another which is totally unprofessional. They wrote back saying they know this is a problem but they havent got around to it yet.
So i am going to try to install JA Comment, i sure hope nothing goes awry in this template, its been a little delicate so far, now if only i could find those modules for JA Comment.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I think to use JA Comment, is it compatible with JA Teline III ?

and Here is the solution for the ja news2 module: pls open the file modules/mod_janews2/tmpl/default.php and find codes:
<?php
if($maxchars > strlen($row->introtext1)) {
echo $row->introtext;
} else {
echo $row->introtext1;
}
?>
replace:
<?php
echo $row->introtext;
?>Good luck
