August 15, 2008 at 5:34 pm #265513I’m also having problems with Teline II and JomComment.
Comments can be added, but any attempt to edit them fails, catastrophically, deleting the comment. Even editing comments in the back end deletes the text completely. In the back end, after the first edit attempt, which wipes it out, the pop edit window is full of code, as per attached gif.
I’ve updated to the latest Teline II, latest Joomla, and latest JomComment and it’s still happening.

@MiCCAS 54402 wrote:
Please tell me how you tested it when you are not a licensed member?

Hi Hung and MiCCAS,
I thought this was clarified before already. But maybe I got it incorrect information.
Technically, if a member has his subscription expired yesterday, he will be unlicensed member today. And yet, he could have downloaded all the Joomlart templates up to JA Nagya — 58 templates.
From what I understand of the license and the clarification of Hung in this Forum for Pre-Sales Question alone, that former licensed member (now an unlicensed member) can literally use all 58 Joomlart templates, indefinitely.
Someone who had a 3-month membership, who would be licensed for one domain only will still be in strict compliance with Joomlart licensing if all all those sites were created in the same domain, provided the domain was registered.
mydomain.com (root)
in unlimited subdirectories:
mydomain.com/site2/
mydomain.com/site3/
etc.
etc.and in unlimited subdomains
sd1.mydomain.com/
sd2.mydomain.com/
etc.
etc.Moreover, provided they were registered, the now unlicensed member could have used them also in non-profit domains.
The only caveat is that while the now unlicensed member could remove the “Designed by …” in the registered commercial domain, he cannot do so in the reigstered non-profit domains.
Are the above statements correct interpretation of Joomlart Licensing?
Of course, I am sure you keep a record of those who are official licensed members, including those whose membership already expired.
Thus, when the poster, flaviusro, stated this:
@flaviusro 53766 wrote:
I am just the developer of the site, not the owner who bought the template.
So, has anyone tested Jomcomment and Ja Teline2?
flaviusro should have been asked to ask the former licensed member (now unlicensed) to ask the question.
The slippery slope here though is that if you begin to answer technical questions here, what will prevent others (who are now unlicensed but previously licensed) to use this forum: the Pre-Sales Question, as a backdoor mechanism to get technical support that are reserved for registered paying members.
Rest assured, these are just observations. Eventually, you will make the decision on how these issues should be handled.

November 21, 2008 at 3:41 am #279833I agree, JomComment and ja teline ii do have some problems. If you have jomcomment plugin enabled, u lose your read more links on category and section blog layouts. I haven’t seen read more links on my front page layout with ja news front page in a while, and I have a feeling it has to do with jomcomment, but I haven’t tried to completely uninstall jomcomment yet. As popular as jomcomment is, surely someone else has had this problem. Thanks.
November 27, 2008 at 1:47 am #280438Have the same issue. Also, have tried ja sanidine II and Rutile templates, both have problems with Jom Comment when viewing with IE6, IE7 seems to work ok with Jom comment the ja templates.
Hope there is a solution soon. I’m not technical enough to figure it out.
