August 25, 2009 at 11:12 am #143679Anyone else here having trouble getting support from Azrul?
The support forum you are supposed to use first has been down or dead for a week, also been emailing their support for over 5 days and no answer, except for a mailout trying to solicit good reviews at JED!
I’m a paid customer as well!
Jomsocial is full of bugs, got a 5 site lic for JS.
First site problems with adding linked vid, its a problem they know about and promise to fix in next release but dont disclose it up front, they fixed it eventually but didnt respond when I asked for files to address the fix on other sites.
Sites 2 and 3, same problem, plus cron task dosent seem to work and photo uploads seem to work but photos never appear.
I’m willing to put up with the bugs for a good product and Jomsocial has the potential to be great but ffs this situation for support is terrible, anyone else hitting these problems and unresponsive support? Its just not good enough to be ignored for many days as a paying customer.
Very irritated and wondering how many others here are having the same problems.

August 25, 2009 at 11:46 am #315201I found Jom to be a bit buggy too but I think they are getting better.
I think this is a case of ‘being a victim of your own success’ where companies become too big too fast are not prepared for all that comes with it. I think JA falls a little into the same category. I’m only a member of one other template club and they don’t get a fraction of the questions that JA get. This is not because their templates are any better (they aren’t) but because they don’t have anything like the sheer volume of members that Joomalrt has.
However Jomsocial only has one product so they have no real excuse for not addressing bugs. Until the have some competition (take Note JA) and are getting a good income, which they are, then they will continue the way they are I fear.

August 25, 2009 at 1:56 pm #315212Uncontrolled development as you say is one thing, failing to deal with it is another and totally irresponsible. Its a significant outlay too, not cheap.
I think Joomlapolis really dropped the ball here and continue to do so, JS storming the market should have ilicited a response rapidly whereas they dont seem to have reacted at all.
Fair enough the JS product has bugs, we can all live with that if its well supported but this is a joke, still no response so far.
I am normally patient and tolerant but here I have a core site component that has rendered 2 sites unfinishable, I was considering a 5 site purchase of MyBlog and JomComment but I am seriously rethinking.
Anyone know of something like MyBlog or K2 that offers Jomsocial integration, most specifically the ability for a user to utilise media from their galleries and ofcourse profile integration?
