February 14, 2013 at 11:25 pm #184978I am using MixMaz with JomSocial and am experiencing a user registration issue.
Upon completing the form, the user is given an “info missing” error. But when I turn off the MixMaz template and view the site using the ‘&template=none’ (for the default joomla template), the registration works fine. So I’m guessing that the conflict lies somewhere in the MixMaz template or one of its modules, etc.
So I’m hoping someone can help me isolate this issue and resolve it. Not being able to register users on a Social Network is obviously a pretty major issue.
Matt

I registered new user and could register normally. No problem faced.
Please check my below screenshot and confirm the same.

February 15, 2013 at 10:08 am #483536I have noticed that I don’t always have this problem. But my client is. And I currently am experiencing it also. Perhaps it’s a browser incompatibility issue? I just tried using Firefox on a PC, and both the username and e-mail fields stayed “red” and would not be accepted. Clicking Save produced the same info missing error.
Can someone else please try?
What browser were you using, @stork11?
Thanks for your help.

February 18, 2013 at 9:10 am #483773There is a problem in “/plugins/system/azrul.system/pc_includes/ajax_1.5.pack.js” file. It caused both username and e-mail fields always in “red”. Please contact the plugin provider to fix it.
Regards.

May 10, 2013 at 8:38 pm #492468Also of note:
Visiting the site with the default template (&template=none in the URL) allows the registration to operate correctly. So while the conflict may be in the azrul plugin you mentioned, it’s definitely a conflict with the MixMaz template. Please have another look at your end and see if it isn’t a quicker fix on the Joomlart side. I’m not pointing fingers — I just need a SWIFT solution, because people are unable to register on my site (obviously a huge problem).
Thank you!

May 13, 2013 at 6:55 pm #492637I realize that I posted this request for help on a Friday, and that you probably don’t work on weekends, but my support license at JomSocial runs out in two days, so PLEASE put a rush on solving this issue. My site can only register users from a couple of browsers, and the rest all give that “info is required” error on the username and email boxes.
I’m told it’s a conflict in the Azrul plugin by you guys, and JomSocial say it’s a template conflict. I really don’t care which of you is at fault — so long as ONE of you steps up to solve it. Blowing me off by saying it’s someone else’s fault is not going to fly.
I’m posting these same messages on their support boards as well. But please, I need one of you to fix the problem. I would think that discovering your template brings an entire (and very popular) extension to a halt would be an issue of grave concern for both of you.
Sincerely yours,

May 15, 2013 at 3:22 am #492762Ninja — Thanks! I’ll reactivate the account I created for use on this thread previously.
Which version of Chrome were you using please, and on which OS? I’m trying to eliminate as many properly working browsers as possible, and find the ones that aren’t — so we can resolve the problem. I also have no problems in Firefox on PCs. But in Chrome or IE on PCs, I get the aforementioned error.
Please try registering another time or two on various browsers, and let me know if you experience any problems. I believe it’s a browser compatibility issue with the template and JomSocial, that can hopefully be resolved quickly.
Again, thank you for your reply. I was starting to worry. Please don’t blow this off. It’s a major issue for us.
Thanks again.

May 16, 2013 at 5:35 pm #493019I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re suggesting? This back and forth with no answers is getting frustrated. I’m running out of time. I know it works SOMETIMES. I need it to work ALL the time.
Please advise.

May 16, 2013 at 6:28 pm #493024Which browser/os combination were you utilizing when you created your test accounts? I am trying to isolate the browser/os combinations that do not work, so we can isolate the cause.
Thank you.
