Try the following:

template.css line 179

width:270px;
}


Add the item marked red and see if that solves it.

The lightbox issue will be solved with addind

width:100%;
But that will mess up the edit box at PM page.

I have solved this, for the inbox write page as well, my self. Take a look at http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showthread.php?p=143848#post143848 , this works very well for me.
