I purchased a Flashmint Template and was told that Joomlart would send me details to download my purchase. Of course the money has gone and of course I still after a week have no template. I’ve registered around 10 complaints to Flashmint on their automated servicewho after not responding for days keep telling me it’s Joomlart’s fault as they should have automatically set me access to download the template. I register the same issue with all the details to Joomlart and guess what – I get a registration and link to all new templates and pay and download. Can’t find the one I’ve already paid for! When will someone take responsiblity for this issue and either reimburse my money or give me what I’ve paid for. Everyone should know how dodgy both these organisations are!>:(

Hi Danielle
Most ppl I know rather spend the 70 for a 1 yr membership here @ JA than 70 per template at flashmint. which I believe is what they charge per template last time I looked.

Can you tell me the name of the template, as I see you are now a registered JA (licensed) member, you have access to all the 113 templates here, go to the download section and if you know the name of the template you can find an download it.

Having dealt with and been a member of JA since 2007 under different memberships and once was a moderator here, I don’t believe there is anything dodgy going on, more just a genuine communication error as this venture with Flashmint I’m told is very new and in trial phase.

Again identify the template by name, post here and we will try to find it in the download section and guide you through the dl, installation & setup.

Thanks for your personalised reply – it is refreshing from the 20 messages of running around in circles I’ve dealt with between the two companies to date. I wish I had have found the template on your site first and I may not have had such a bad experience. The template I am after is:

I really don’t want to pay for it a second time. Flashmint have not taken any responsibility whatsoever to give me this template – yet they took my money and said you would provide the template!

I have all the logged IT desk details to Flashmint from last Friday which I’m happy to provide to you however not through a blog. I would be truely greatful for you to please provide me with access to download the template above – which I have already paid for – hence do not expect to pay for again.

The template you’re looking for is called JA Droid; here is the download link

This is a to the Joomla 2.5 template Danielle, as a new member you may not be familiar with Joomlarts download system. Let me try to clarify what you’ll see in the downloads section.

The list of items first seen when you go to a particular template name (JA Droid, JA Nex, JA Tiris Etc.) The first topmost item is a complete ‘Quickstart’ installation, the Joomlart Quickstart or QS for short contains all that is required to give you a close approximation of a full working web site using this template pretty much the same as the Joomlart JA Droid demonstration you see here.

It contains a late version of Joomla 2.5 all the SQL data that loads the default demo dummy text, Pls note: to keep file sizes down JA (Joomlart) does not provide the images used in the online demo, preferring to mark the positions with placeholder giving correct sizes ( dimensions in pixels for height/width). So most ppl download ONLY the QS product and install as you would a normal Joomla installation via your browser.

I’ll provide a full link to a tutorial on installing via Quickstart together with other things such as the online guide to JA Droid to smooth your experience with these perhaps unfamiliar methods of installation at the end of this post.

The other items in the list are INDIVIDUAL items that are pretty much named to correctly identify them. If for instance you already had a working J 2.5 site and just wanted to load an assign the Droid template without the components, plugins etc you would untick all in the list and just tick the JA Droid Template item then at the bottom click download installing as a normal template.

I’m sure you get the idea on how to choose and download your products.

I hope you understand it appears that Joomlart has given you a full 1 yr standard membership, the benefits over the one Flashmint purchase is now you can get all the JATC Joomlart Template Club products, Pls note: The soon to be released JA Wall is NOT one of those included templates, but available seperately, however I think there are up to 113 templates all with the JA Quickstart system you have access to.

Joomlart with the more recent templates etc. introduced some innovative internal features called the T3 system and Mega Menus.

There are guides and links on these in the JA Wiki link on the home page main menu under Resources tab. The T3 system can be confusing at first in the way it needs to work, as a valued member you have access to support via a ticket system to ask the developers and staff for help, or posting your questions here in the forum under the appropriate template forum thread, example use the JA Droid thread to ask re: that template etc.

Ok. Forgive the enormous amount of info and my lengthy reply, Danielle, But I just want to streamline your introduction and relieve the stress, while no longer a moderator or a paid JA support worker, I welcome the chance to contribute to the forum and welcome you.
