You are using the purity template that comes with Joomla 1.5?

When using php 4.x the front logon module will stop working after upgrading to 1.5.7 to fix that see this post:

php version is 5.0.51 so that is not the issue. but thanks for the response. we are trying to reinstall the backup right now and having issues with that…
