February 10, 2009 at 1:51 pm #290460Hi cccvpguy
Welcome on Board!
Six months ago I’d never heard of Joomla and would have had no idea what a CSS was, let alove what to do with it.
Thanks to some of these folks here, I got my first Telline II site up and running and I’m now designing my fourth Joomla site.
I hope we can help you along your journey!
Best Wishes

February 11, 2009 at 6:50 am #290594I NEED HELP ….
I post 2 days ago a message on regards to JATELINE. The replys came that if i want to make it look eaquel to the demo, i should install it as a Joomla the Quicstart instalacion,
ok… I manage to install but look worst, because teh only Module installed is “Main Module” …
STEPS
1. I rename the old joonla 1.5.8
2. I upload the Decompress Files if teh QuickStart (All Files decompress)
3. From MySql, i create a barn New Database “jo151” and a User “jo151”.
4. I add the user to the Database so that the installation could continue, providing teh FTP
configuration as well as the root,5. ThE installation Finished and warm me to remove teh Folder “INTALLATION”
and after That, the installation is screw up … NOTHING AS THE DEMO
This si Very Difficult to make something to look alikeI WISH THAT JA SHOULD GIVES IN A DECOMPRESS ALL MODULES AND PROGRAMS SO TAHT WE INSTALL IN THE TRADICIONAL WAY ….
http://www.comoenbolivia.com/comoenbolivia/ This is my Result of teh Installation and have no clue why? still is screw up

February 11, 2009 at 6:55 am #290595Hi Willy
If you want to install in the traditional way just unzip all the QuickStart files on your local drive and FTP them into the ww.comoenbolivia/comoenbolivia/ folder.
Make sure to replace all existing folders in that directory (/images, etc.) and that should give you the exact Demo site.

the Quickstart is actually very easy and makes installing the Ja templates looking like the demo very simple, but, like questbg mentioned, you have to make sure you start with en empty folder, or make sure that you over write everything else there. The quickstart has to be the first install, not an additional install after the site is up to add a new template.
It sounds like you did most of it right, so I don’t know what went wrong. Try installing it once on your own computer, locahost, using xampp or something like that. Maybe doing it on your own computer first will help you see how it works. Keep 🙂 !!

February 11, 2009 at 1:40 pm #290670Hi willyh;
Again, if you want the feel and the look of the demo. DO NOT INSTALL the QuickStart if you already have a site with contents including JOOMLA, basicly you will see the same output you are seeing now
However, if you do install the QuickStart a site with contents, YOU MUST INSTALL AND CONFIGURE ALL THE OTHER EXTENSIONS>> for furter details please see>> JA Teline II – Userguide >> http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-teline-ii-userguide/,
I had same problem, and after couple of tries and reading the “JA Teline II – Userguide”, i was able to install in my local PC >>localhost.
All the suggestions you were given are valid..
I could be wrong, but I think you are trying to intsall the QuickStart a site with content regardless of the content.
Why this is a problem, it is beyond my knowledge and its not documented in the “JA Teline II – Userguide >> http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-teline-ii-userguide/, “
Good luck friend and hope this clarifies some of the issue….
