JA Mageia Quickstart 1.5,
I can install some 3rd party components like JoomlaXplorer, JoomlaPack but can’t install Fireboard, docman and some other. Installation fails with blank white screen.
I changed all permissions to 777, failed again.

Any ideas?

This looks like a Joomla problem. Have you tried enabeling legacy mode?

I am having the same issue as well. Can’t install bigger components or modules.
exec time for php and memory was inceased.
smaller extensions install fine.
