Hi
I installed Joomla 1.5 then installed the template and followed the quick start guide..however my site looks totally different from the demo shown in :

http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_shopping_ii

The problems are:

1. Shopping Cart Looks different
2. Featured Products Looks Different
3. Latest Products Looks Different
4. The left column on the bottom does not auto append to the color

Please help.

well if you give us the url of YOUR site we can see the code we can all access the demo site so don’t need the url – the cart may have been updated since the demo was up with a later version of VM in the dl section I see a later vm update patch

Site is http://parajumpers.no/index.php I did apply the patch as well. Well I did upload those files to the directories in question.

Hi Mate
re reading your op, you said you installed j 1.5x then the template, then followed a qs guide?
Ok if that is true youre out of sequence. A qs (quickstart) contains joomla so no need to install joomla first, second it also contains the template and sql dump of all the database the demo has that’s why it is a copy of the demo

uninstall the lot and watch my video on installing a qs live for the way its done

so in summary delete the current site (unless you’ve fixed it) drop the database and create a new empty database

download the shopping II quickstart to your hdd, unzip it and use filezilla ftp to upload the UNZIPPED qs, to your host space ( this is to avoid problems and time outs with cpanel filemanagers) then run the url in your browser to install. You’ll need your details on database name etc etc

video is here at screencast, while its not shopping II its JA Opal, the same principle for all QS installs

I am using the same template at http://www.letsgojoomla.com.

I wanted a current VM at 1.1.3 as I think it is important to be as current with the money handler as possible.

So, under that scenario, it is tough to use the quick start and then upgrade VM.

I installed it all from scratch and then had some issues first with VM and then with the template.
