Following issues exist with the Tiris quickstart for Joomla 1.5 as per November 2011:

Symptom: Articles can´t be edited. Attempt to edit articles result in blank pages with few boxes displayed
Solution: Disable the following plugin “Editor Button – JA Typo Button”, further reference:

Symptom: Module position footnav is not available
Solution: Edit “templateDetails.xml” and add <position>footnav</position> in the relevant section; further reference: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showthread.php?36849-footnav-missing

Hope Joomlart updates the quickstart to fix this.
