    Hello All —

Just to let everyone know, Joomla is removing the underscore from any template name when creating the corresponding folder on the server. (So every JA_… is not working after install). The internal database references also have no underscore.

To solve the problem, you have to go into the template’s index.php file and alter one line of code near the top, “$ja_template_name = ‘jaxxxxxxx’;” where xxxxxxx is the remaining part of the template name after the underscore, so ja_larix would be jalarix.

Could someone from the support staff determine if this is a perminent change in how Joomla is going to install templates or just an error introduced in RC 4?

    Many thanks,
    Scott:

Thank you for your solutions note, Scott.

In fact, Joomla 1.5 does not remove underscore but the space in template name (therefore, in template folder). This problem only occurs when you install JA template for Joomla 1.0x on Joomla 1.5.

Thanks for your reply. You note that the problem only occurs for JA templates for Joomla 1.0x on Joomla 1.5. Will Joomlart be updating templates for Joomla 1.5, especially now that a stable release is soon expected.
    Thanks
