I would like to ask:
– if the future Templates are compatibel with Joomla 1.5 ?
– if existing Templates can be ordered in a “Joomla 1.5 compatible version” ?
(e.g. Xenia II “normal” and Xenia II shopping edition -> I like them very much…)——
I am not an expert, but I know that there were some “legacy mode” or a “compatibility mode” to activate in Joomla 1.5 beta,
to use extensions and/or templates(?) that was made for Joomla 1.0.x (??)
My Question above is about joomla 1.5 that runs in its “native full mode”
and not in “legacy mode” or a “compatibility mode”…
Does someone understand, what I am trying to say… ? 😀ErikThorsen FriendErikThorsen

September 4, 2007 at 12:04 pm #228789If you read around on the forum or do a search you will see that all new templates will be created for Joomla 1.5. Most likely all “older” versions will also be updated, at least most of them. So I guess you will also have Xenia “translated” to Joomla as soon as it is released as stable 1.5

That’s awesome! It’s the SMART thing to do. The designs are TOO GOOD not to leverage them with the new, more powerful, Joomla 1.5 architecture!
(In particular, JA Nerine! 😉 )
September 12, 2007 at 2:06 am #229302I’ve seen bits and pieces of information about templates being converted to 1.5. How about a dedicated forum group or at least a stick to let us know dates and other information about what will be converted when. I’m also curious about the compatibility of the other add-ons that are available for download.
September 12, 2007 at 2:19 am #229303I don’t want to Hi-Jack this thread, however I didn’t want to create another thread that was of the same topic so I hope this post here is welcome.
Are there any current templates offered that support 1.5 in “native” mode?
September 20, 2007 at 2:31 pm #229727do you have an approx. time as to when the templates will be converted? i’d like to become a member and purchase nerine but not if it won’t work with 1.5 and your time frame for the conversion will be a ways out.
please keep us posted.
thank you.

As mentioned above we’re working on it, and some are already done 🙂October 14, 2007 at 1:55 am #231022I spoke with Louis Landry (Joomla Core Team Member) at the Joomla Day in NY today. What a GREAT event. Anyhow, he confirmed that “Legacy Mode” will be discontinued by 1.6.
