Hi just thought I’d post here while I was in a talkative mode
JA menu system does not work correctly with 1.5rc – not do the menus systems from other template providers, extended menu etc (legacy mode) – the menus php need rewriting
So before you say something is broke – remember JA does not support 1.5 as yet & you can switch to the joomla mainmenu interim

July 24, 2007 at 1:41 pm #224981It is our plans to fix this once it is released, however I’m not currently sure. We’ll just have to wait and see 🙂

JoomlArt is not planning to update their templates until 1.5 final is released? Also, are you saying that you are not sure if the menu system will be fixed for 1.5? If so, I can’t understand why…Michael Casha FriendMichael Casha

Yes, we’re not going to update our templates until 1.5 is officially released.July 25, 2007 at 8:08 pm #225109You could have a go yourself. Template conversions are pretty simple – only the extensions which can be a bit tricky.

Thanks for the reply! I downloaded that file but I’m not really seeing anything in there like a conversion tutorial unfortunately… I would definitely like to convert my template (Utahia II) to 1.5 ASAP though because there are some features in 1.5 that I am really anxious to take advantage of.July 26, 2007 at 9:49 am #225167<em>@john6555 22108 wrote:</em><blockquote>Thanks for the reply! Its a very large file and most is redundant but still some good information. At present I am working on “How to make 1.0x template native to 1.5”. So that means they work exactly as they do in 1.0x but are fully operational in 1.5.Have not started a full conversion tutorial as of yet.
Well, if the moderators do not mind, you can check out my “native” tutorial for a simple GPL template. Tutorial Here!
As another note, the part that is most relevant in the PDF, is the module section. Just select that page in the PDF from the sidebar and that’s most of the information you need. Converting the index.php is just changing module syntax for the most part.
Hope that helps in some shape or form 🙂
