I have tried to use ja_nickel template on Joomla 1.6. It shows that there are problems with the JParameter. I suspect that it is the same for all of your templates. When do you expect to have your templates upgraded to Joomla 1.6?

January 15, 2011 at 10:17 pm #372030The J1.5 version will not work with Joomla 1.6, this goes for all Jooma 1.5 templates. They need some code changes to work. Please see the following blo for details – http://www.joomlart.com/blog/news-updates/joomlarts-joomla-16-templates-release-and-schedule/
Better still, subscribe to the blog and you will be notified as each template is released.

January 19, 2011 at 6:51 pm #372712My question – at this early stage of J 1.6 – is whether there is any REAL benefit to “switch over” to J 1.6 right now, since MOST of the extensions/components do not work (yet) with J 1.6 – and there is no telling how long it will be until the extension/component developers upgrade their products.
Of course, the conundrum then becomes . . . when they finally do upgrade their products, will J 1.7 or J 2.0 be on the table already ???

Its a just new experience with things being up to date so you can try, otherwise let it like it is while its still stable working with you.

It would not be so bad like that I believe and you could do too as the team is working hard on this job 🙂
