September 27, 2010 at 10:27 pm #154690Heya,
This is going somewhat ahead, but it’s pretty important that I know before renewing my JA membership – it mainly related to JA Social.
Will it be updated to Joomla 1.6, along to the latest version of whatever jomsocial/agora will be at that given time?
Thanks guys.

September 28, 2010 at 12:54 pm #356948Yeah, my dev membership still goes on through to 2011. Was just a general query as to how things would be upgraded to the 1.6 version when it eventually does come out.

1. As soon as Joomla 1.6 comes out as the latest stable version, JoomlArt will publish the schedule & detailed plans to get our Joomla templates upgraded to work with that version. This is the way thing works everytime Joomla release new stable version.
2. For the release of new version of 3rd party extensions, we are afraid that it is rather hard to update the styles for the templates everytime those 3rd party extensions provider get them upgraded as there are so many Joomla extensions and the upgrades are beyond JoomlArt’s control. However, so far we still try our best to keep our templates well tuned per user’s request. For examples, we have tried to keep JA Sulfur up with the basic upgrades of Jomsocial but it might take us longer time than expectation.
Your patience is highly appreciated under those cases.

I am sorry that we have not published any schedule regarding this as it is very difficult to get the exact names / chronological order of release as teams are working on all of them.
For now, 7 templates have been converted for J1.6 already. Please keep eye on the blog, as all releases will be announced there (http://www.joomlart.com/blog/)
