Joomla 1.6 has been released. They are promising stable version for 10 January 2011. Are you planning to release Teline IV for Joomla 1.6 RC or we need to wait for stable edition?

I would guess that we will have to wait for the stable version but My Hung does like to suprise us. I actually think it would be a bit daft to begin releasing templates too early in the RC cycle for many reasons. Code can and will change a lot between the RC and the stable, if some of those changes affect the way templates work then you the user may have to do a lot of hard work updating your template to one that actually works with the later release. It will happen but please be patient.

It looks like there will be only one RC. Right now they will be conducting security audit and they want to release stable version after that.

So I think there will be not too much things affecting templates.

JA already have the T3 template working on J1.6 and the current T3 templates will take minimal work to update when the time comes. It is the plugins and older templates that will take the most effort and I know the JA team are planning to have a big library of 1.6 ready templates and plugins available for the Joomla 1.6 launch.

As already stated, it is still too early to tell what may change in Joomla to comit to release templates yet. Please be patient.
