I’m launching a new site using only JA Job Board and a JA Template. Now that Joomla 1.6 has been released I’m wondering if it’s a good/bad idea to use Joomla 1.5. Should I wait until the end of the month for the 1.6 compatible version of JA JB to be released?

JAJobBoard will be supported for Joomla 1.5.x and 1.6.x simultaneously.

They will remain the same.

We think you should wait for some time and let Joomla 1.6 settle in, though you should test out J 1.6 to learn and get your hands on it.

You told me at the end of December that you will be releasing JA JB 1.5.1 at the end of January for Joomla 1.5.

Why will the Joomla 1.6 version be released as 1.5 stable?

JB 1.5.1 will follow its own release schedule. We can not use an unstable or under development version for conversion / upgrade to Joomla 1.6. So, first JB 1.5.0 which is stable, will be upgraded to Joomla 1.6 and once JB 1.5.1 is released stable. It would be easier to upgrade Joomla 1.6 version too.

Its simple logic.

Hi Guys,
just want to know the current status. I think i have read something about chinese new year where JA will be “away” for one week. Im unsure if its already new years eve or not.
So maybe you guys have some information if the joomla 1.6 version will be released within next days? 😉
