    Hi,

I have installed the Quickstart Joomla1.7 package. I rectified certain errors which were appearing on the front page, but now, I get template manager errors. Please view, attached, the screenshot of the ja-erio template manager with the error messages!

    I would appreciate your advise.
    Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, did you install the sample data as part of your quickstart installation process?

Can you, perhaps, send me a PM with temporary admin access to your site administration – so I can take a better look at what’s going on within your Template Manager?

I did send you a PM yesterday. Please let me know if you have received this.

    Thanks.

There have been a couple of update patches since the release of this template …. I recommend updating using the JAE (Extension Updater). If you’re uncertain as to the process, here is a video tutorial to assist you . . .

I can’t use the Extension Manager either, as I am getting “JFolder::create: Could not create directory” everywhere. Please see the attached screenshot. i have been reading about this error and have done all I could (changing permissions on various directories, etc.) to rectify it with no success!

I have suspected that the problems I have been reporting here may have come from the hosting service I have chosen, so today I installed the Quickstart package on another host which I know are reliable. Well, on the new host, none of the errors I have been struggling with appear! Interesting! I can’t explain why, however, it looks as if I have to switch hosts now.

Unfortunately, this can often be an issue – especially with some of the web hosts that have the more obscure configuration options.

If I may make a suggestion, I currently am with BlueHost and am VERY happy with both their service, features, pricing and ease of use with their CPanel.

I have also used Siteground in the past and found it to be a quality web host as well.
