    Hi all,

After JUpgrade from 1.5 to 2.5, cant configure to see the Contents (articles).

I always try with many themes without sucess. Maybe a simple solution because the articles is OK and older site in 1.5 is OK too.

    Many thanks any help,

    Fernando.

My experience with JUpgrade is that many of the articles linked to menu-items show up at a different place. So you have to check all your menu-items and frontpage (in 2.5 called Featured) to check if the articles are still in the correct menu and/or appear correctly on the frontpage. All articles will be converted correctly by JUpgrade, just check the categories (sections are missing in 2.5) and menus. JUPgrade does a basic conversion but you have to do a lot yourself. Also your template will not be converted and the module positions are gone. So you have to install the 2.5 version of the template that you were using and you have to correct the module positions. If you were using third party extensions you will have to check if there is a 2.5 version (of at least a 1.6 version) and install that one. Maybe the provider of the extension also has upgrade instructions (data for third party extensions are not converted bu JUpgrade).

jUpgrade does make a bit of a mess of many things. You will need to re-open every article individually and re-save it making sure it is associated with a correct menu item.

I to have spent a lot of time struggling with jUpgrade problems on sites I have been upgrading for people.

It looks as if you are using articles that are not attached to a menu. I am not sure but I think I have seen a message on this forum that in Joomla 2.5 all articles need to be attached to a menu. What you could try is making a fake menu, attach some of the articles that you had on the frontpage, make them featured (parameter of the article in article manager) and check if they show up on your frontpage.

In the menu manager of your home menu you had for “Intro articles” set to 0 so it would not display anything. I have set that to 3 and now you can see 3 articles on that page.
