I am brand new to Joomla Art T3 and of course Joomla 1.6 since it just came out.

First of all when installing JAT3 version 2.0 for Joomla 1.6 do you have to install the Sample Data? I have one version installed with sample data and was trying to install another instance on my local pc server with No Sample Data and it will not work.

Another question is I am trying to attempt to add Joomla Access Control which I have done on several versions of Joomla 1.6 and I have set up the JAT3 version exactly the same way but the access levels are not working. Is it because I am adding the menu’s to the Main Menu to show at the Top of the site? Which that alone has me a little confused since I am used to adding Top Menu items to the actual Top Menu but in JAT3 the items on the top are in the Main Menu section 🙂

When I set the Menu Items to Public they show up on the menu, but when I reset them to the correct access levels they go away and will not show up when I sign in with the correct permissions for that level.

Have I confused everyone with these questions!

Thanks for a great item in the JAT3. I am a little confused by it too because it not installed like a template or component. Does this mean you can not add it to an existing site?

Hi,

For the first time you use our product, we suggest that you get the quickstart package and install it with Sample Data. After installation, you will get a site almost the same with our demo site.

We also provide template, extensions in separately packages. You can download and install them as any Joomla extensions. Then you follow our instruction in userguide (often in a thread in forums) to setup the template/extension.

Regard the Access Control issue, we will check if it work. This part is changed in Joomla 1.6 and it should cause some problem with our menu system embedded in T3 Framework.
