August 23, 2014 at 6:10 am #200746Hi,
Joomla is automatically creating links that doesnt work with the Puresite template. Well, I think its that.
For example, with the portfolio module, with the “readmore” it creates a link like the below.
This loops back to the home page instead of going to the article.
If you remove “:magic-chicken&catid=80:website-portfolio&Itemid=435” and just enter the below, it works.

August 25, 2014 at 4:55 am #547083That article may not be assigned to any menu item on your site so that when you click to open, it shows in homepage instead of details page.
Try to create a new menu item and assign that article (or category that article belongs to) to this new menu item.
Then clean JAT3 cache.

August 26, 2014 at 1:29 am #547207To me, seems like a bug.
With the portfolio “Read More” links are not even working. Can’t say you need to link those to a menu items as well.
I’m running Joomla 3.3.3. There seems to be a new version of the Puresite template “1.0.7”. Under the auto updates, it says I can’t update it.

August 26, 2014 at 3:23 pm #547323In case that you want to update JA Puresite template, it’s recommended to use our JA Extension Manager component – a free extension to update JA products.
You can download the latest version of this component and check out this documentation for how to use it:

August 27, 2014 at 3:52 am #547382I’ve done some research into this.
The bottom URL links generated via Joomla, links to the “homepage” item ID of 435.
http://www.lineit.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=88:sinexi-kawaii&catid=86:web-portfolio&Itemid=435That why it keeps looping back to the homepage. For your information, I’ve cleared the Joomla cache and rebuilt the menu items and the issue still persist.
Why does it keep looping back to the Puresite Home Page menu item? There’s not menu item created for the Web Portfolio category in the above example. Does the template have issues with linking to the proper menu item ID?

August 28, 2014 at 3:38 am #547474Hi sinna,
As I mentioned in my first post, these articles (category these articles belong to) are not assigned to any menu item so that when you click to open, it open in homepage.
In Joomla, you need to assign to a menu item so that it can direct to correct page, otherwise it will open in the same page.
I just tried to create a new menu called Hidden menu on your site and created a new menu item > assign category ‘Web Porfolio’ to this menu item and you can see that it’s working now.
Please have a look at this again.
Best

August 29, 2014 at 2:57 am #547607Thanks.
I understand it now. The hidden menu is useful because its not showing it live on the website.
How do I replicate the “Portfolio” display on the demo Puresite website?
On my website, with the category blog menu item created, looks like the below.

September 1, 2014 at 6:54 am #547814You can easily achieve that by configuring the layout of this page via menu item settings. I just config for you: http://prntscr.com/4ik0hr
Kindly take a look and let me know if it helps.
