August 24, 2011 at 3:26 am #167730Hi Joomlart just wanted to know if you have seen this before. I have been using Joomla for a while now and have never encountered this before. I have changed to a new hosting company and may have something to do with their settings but i cannot work it out.
Basically the global config tab cannot be used it cant save or anything. Please let me know what you think the problem is.
When I install 1.5 its fine its only with 1.6 and 1.7 ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Baz

August 24, 2011 at 4:41 am #408071Well if there was no configuration.php (i guess you mean this one when you say about config file) then joomla wouldn’t be able to communicate with mysql etc… so there is a configuration.php file!
I suggest that you re-download the original zip installation file and give it one more shot! Maybe it’s a lost “byte” from the file and something is not transferred the proper way on your server.Regards
