Dear Joomlart admin,

I am having great difficulty in integrating the joomla login and jomsocial component. Currently there are a few problems:

1. Login form in topbar goes to default joomla profile and not jomsocial profile

   • I have enabled system-jomsocial redirect plugin and this has somewhat helped.
2. When I login wrongly with a wrong password using the login form in the topbar, the page just refreshes without any message to indicate that login has failed.

May I know how to just replicate the site as per the demo site? Or is there something I have missed out?

So I installed a plugin from Joomla’s extension directory

It is called the system core plugin that overrides all core joomla login to either jomsocial or community builder.
http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/core-login-redirect

And fortunately it managed to solve my login problems as stated above 🙂 Hopefully no further login issues will occur, fingers crossed

Hi,

the plugin is not solving all issues. For e.g. the "create account" tab is showing the joomla registration form fields and not the one from the jomsocial form.

Have you any solution to disable or add the form fields from jomsocial?

Yes I agree with gummel. The installed new plugin works well but the create tab in the login form in the topbar remains.

Is there any way to remove the create tab?:)

Hi
on the topbar its JA Login module that only use Joomla login . you need to unpublished it and can load a custom link or JS login module there . i am afraid it may not have same modal window with other modules.
Or u can change the JA Login module options for its redirection after login .
