Hi everyone,
I am a web designer and am looking to expand my skills and use a content management system. The problem I have is that Joomla appears to have all the features that you could ever need by I am having problems creating templates.
I have used wordpress before and can create templates fairly easily so if anyone knows of any good tutorials or sample templates that are clean coded that I could learn from that would be great!:)

April 6, 2010 at 3:13 pm #339328I came here to learn the same thing. I use wordpress a lot because I am not a great programmer and theme creator… but I am working on a redesign for my wife’s blog about cooking.
She is getting a lot of traffic and is really ready to make an upgrade. I have been hearing a lot about Joomla and have been wanting to give it a go. I hear that there are a lot more options when trying to design a template that offers more options. She needs this because of the many categories that she has. But I am a newbie to Joomla. I have seen some really pretty and interesting templates and have been impressed. But what they look like on the outside and the behind the scenes can be totally different. So, that’s why I have started my search here.

I am also looking into the Jomla world for the first time… I also have experience with WordPress.. Right now I am trying to find out if I should go Joomla or stay WordPress 🙂
These guides will help me alot, thank you once more!
Best regards
