Hi,

I am a complete newbie to Joomla. Have read the Erica User Guide and many tutorials, but they seem to have conflicting information, so I am still confused about how to install Erica.

The site is hosted at SiteGround and they installed Joomla 1.5.0 for me.

(1) Should I be using 1.5.1?

(2) I don’t need to create a database, so do I still use the QuickStart package? :confused:

(3) If so, do I also install all the other Zip files? :confused:

(4) Here is what my site looks like at the moment, so clearly there are things missing.

(5) I tried to use EXTENSIONS > INSTALL to install the Login Module and Newslight Module, but it told me I needed to change the System settings to Legacy Plugin.

Is that true? Or is the problem just that I don’t already have the right files installed?

(6) Because I’ve only been playing around a little so far, I am more than willing to wipe out everything at the site and start fresh … if that’s what you recommend.

Hi clicklady.
I’ve viewed your site
your site use joomla 1.5.
Your site look like that because you dont install sample data.
When you install extension, it tell you must to turn on Legacy because you installed extensions for joomla 1.0.

I think you should install Erica quickstart again, you must install sample data, after that you will have new site like demo
