Dear forum members and JA developers,
I am experiencing this problem: when I try to change Permalink structure modifing default joomla setup from Global Configuration menu (after renaming htaccess.txt into .htaccess) Jatab module content (in this case latest news) when clicked on the homepage return a 404 error.
The other links on the front page work and I really can not fegured out what the problem can be.
    Thanks for the help
    Michele

JATabs is only a container for other modules. What kind of module is placed in JATabs position and who the links look like?

Sorry! The module is mod_jatabs (it is set like the demo page).
Sorry but I am sure about what you mean when asking “who the links look like? ” So excuse me if I am going to write a nonsense.
At the moment the links look like this one for example: www.

    defence-observer.info/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=417:elbit-systems-wins-a-130-million-contract-from-latin-america-&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18

This link works OK (but it’s not SEF). Could you show a SEF link?
Do you use JA Bulletin for Latest News and Hot Topic?
I also use JA Bulletin inside JA Tabs, but no problems observed.

    Thanks for your patience!
    The SEF link: http://www.defence-observer.info/news/422-us-c-27js-logged-1000-flight-hours
This is one of the link that does not work.
    Yes I use that module
This is the error page content :

The links in NEWS sections which work look like
    http://www.defence-observer.info/news/europe/427-f18
But the ones in JA Bulletin
    http://www.defence-observer.info/news/415-f18
Both links seems to be about an article “Finnish F-18 MLU2”.

Do you use any 3rd party SEF components, like these?
Do you have the same articles in “Uncategorized” section, and in sections “Europe” “Middle East” etc. (the same article have different ID – marked out with red color)?
Could you post the back-end screenshot of the JA Bulletin module used for “Latest News”?

Well it looks to me like server issue, (mode_rewrite is supported or not?)

Yes there are two different sections. Latest news is only for most recent news and the articels will be cancelled after some time the other no.
No articles are eachone in its own section and categories. I just copy them in the other section/category.
Yes I could post a snap shot of the module setup but when I try to insert the image on this page using “insert image” it requires me an URL!
