    Hello,

I am using JA Wall on a client site and it is fantastic! Everyone likes it and it is performing very well in the search engines as well.

I am new with Joomla 2.5 I have been using Joomla 1.5 for a few years though. I am trying to follow the directions for updating to the latest security release; 2.5.7 from 2.5.6.

I downloaded the update patch and then read that all I have to do is click Components>>Joomla! Update and update automagically from there. My concern is that on this site, using the JA Wall template, it tells me “No Updates Available. You already have the latest Joomla! version, 2.5.6.

    How can that be??

So I read further as to how to do a manual update and I seem to remember that JA Wall is not a usual template and may require additional attention.

Can someone please advise me on this as I do not want to risk crashing the site as it is in production now.

Thank you for your prompt response.

The problem is with your hosting blocking the update call. JA Wall is not considered a usual template because it runs on alot of javascript if not mistaken. But the core is still Joomla and there’s only 1 Joomla.

Here’s some information that you may be able to use to resolve your problem:

The host is one of my VPS servers, and I have other 2.5 Joomla! sites on the same server that update without any problem. The other sites are not using JA Wall, that is why I am concerned.

The servers are fine tuned for Joomla! and that is why I am confident it is not my servers.

Thank you for the links, but if anyone else has experience with the Joomla! Update in JA Wall, please advise.

    Thank you
