March 24, 2009 at 12:29 am #139505I’d like to introduce you all to Joomlacache – free and commercial joomla extensions
It went live today. I had all of these extensions built for my sites and now they are available for others to use
suggestions (other then give everything away for free) are welcome. The fee’s collected pay for customer support, upgrading, debugging and new extensions I have yet to build.
One of interest to all here is the CB Horizontal Login Highslide Module. I had it built for a telene II site that used community builder.
also of interest is “Horizontal Login Module For VirtueMart” which I built for a site using JA Mesolite.
Support for the free extensions is through the forum and that help is community help, not staff help. You must register to use the forum.
And taking a lesson from JA, you can only view the commercial downloads forum threads for the items you have purchased.
The site is in BETA and you are the first that i have shared this project with
Support is through a subscription plan and ticket system. If you do not have a subscription, you need to use the forum and well….hope 🙂

I have just mentioned several times to users who need a login comparable to the new JS Pop Up Login for CB sites, that one option is to use JA Highslide loading the CB Login Module to gain the same effect as when doing all the coding work and making the CB login to a same JS Pop Up as e.g. coming with JA Opal. This is now taking away some more work for those indeed and also mine, so especially thanks for that one.
But IMHO, you are very pricy when it comes to commercial extensions and custom work.:)

March 24, 2009 at 1:02 am #297563the price gives me room for sale pricing, watch for it. And with the price comes tech support, you don’t just get the component , you get support.
no where do I give a price for custom work

So 911websiterepair.com is not affiliated to this site of yours? Because this made me mention custom work and those are IMHO pricy….Maybe you can give JA Members loyalty discounts, when they contact you via PM before a purchase…;)
BUT, I do know that some more or less people here, rather more than less, will need some IE8 bug fixing, so when you can offer this, people may be very interested in this service too, as sooner or later they will have to and want to make their sites run compatible to IE8 without meta tag or plugin to turn on the compatibility mode. Would be nice for those to have someone they know to do this for them…

March 24, 2009 at 1:47 am #297568911 is mine, the discount for JA members is a good idea, I will need to implement a coupon system. not a big deal. I will contact hung about this to see if he will let me promote it.

March 25, 2009 at 2:54 pm #297946Hmm, yes I have all that, and when I download any other file for extensions on any site like here with Joomlart.com the downloads are zipped packages. In IE the browsers already asks if to download this file with unknown file type and just wanted to upload you the file here so that you can see what I mean and while uploading the file I get the error message:
CB Horizontal Login for JA Highslide:
Invalid FileNow, I have zipped this file with invalid file format, like it came from your site so that you will see what I mean. Attached a zip I made containing the file.
Tell me when you downloaded it and I can remove it again.;)
