August 4, 2007 at 9:58 am #121827Hi, I have a question … what exactly do you offer with an extension club membership?
As far as I can see there are 6 club extensions
http://www.joomlart.com/downloads/cat/joomlart_club_extensions.htmlIf I am interested in only one of them I have to pay $70 for a membership? What exactly does the club membership offer? There are two templates a month for the templates club … how many extensions can I expect with the extension club membership? Only these six or are there some others to come?

August 8, 2007 at 7:18 am #226615New and exciting things are coming to the Extensions Club!!!

Details, Details, Details 🙂
August 10, 2007 at 12:33 am #226729I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the Extensions Club. I signed up a few weeks ago–back when JAEC was actually being advertised. Now the advertisements are gone and I have a membership that has been receiving absolutely no activity. The forum is dead, there has been nothing new, and the advertisements are now gone.
But at this moment, I’m upset I’ve paid for the membership, nothing is happening with it, and my JAEC membership is slowly coming time to renew. 🙁

October 30, 2007 at 10:21 pm #231841I am totally disgusted with this JA Extension Club concept.
What, not making enough $$ out of we Template club members.?So, template club members are unable to UPDATE modules e.g ja_news after committing to a given template? How utterly beligerant can you get.
I am looking at the opposition.

October 31, 2007 at 1:58 am #231847As informed, I would like to quote the announcements again
@Hung Dinh 28880 wrote:
After a 3 months of official opening of JAEC, we soon realize some difficulty in maintaining the extension development in the club/subscription based.- Joomla! keep changing, especially the existence of the 2 versions 1.1.x and 1.5 makes the development and maintaining many extensions at the same time very difficult.
- It’s hard to provide support for customers when we have large number of extension.
- People complain why they have to pay for many extension while they only need one
- The current download system is quite complicated for downloading and classify the files
- It’s hard to decide what extensions should be developed.
- Last but not least. it’s not a popular and smart way of selling software on the Internet. In fact, I myself have never seen a similar club.
What’s the future of the JAEC
We will close any further subscription and new extensions will be sold per item. In other word, you will go shopping for Joomla extension at JA, we will integrate a shopping cart in to current JA site.We will reduce the number of extensions and focus on the development of some core and useful extensions.
What will happen to current JAEC members?
Paid member will be able to download all available extensions released by JA in their subscription period plus 1 more year as a great compensation for these changes.
JA will be open for any suggestion from existing members. We can provide a refund if necessary. If you have any suggestion, please let me know
Developer members will also be able to download and use any available commercial products at JA.What extensions you can expect to see?
– JA UniBridge: An extension to merge and synchronize all Joomla user database into Vbulletin. Independent loginshare can be developed for other scripts (wordpress, SMF, Invision Board , PhpBB )
The version for Joomla 1.1.x will be released within October. Version for 1.5 will be released after the release of Joomla 1.5 stable.– JA Comments: a comment system for Joomla 1.5
There have not been any specific date but we are schedule within the next 3 months.
bigrk Friendbigrk

October 31, 2007 at 2:07 am #231848It’s good to see that there is a focus and plan for this club. It has never been what it should have been. Good luck going forward and I am looking forward to the new extensions under development.
