August 8, 2013 at 8:59 pm #189582Joomlart is featuring EasyBlog in their Blog and JA Beranis, but the Joomlart modules only allow article selections from Joomla and K2 categories, is there a timeframe for EasyBlog categories to be included?

August 8, 2013 at 10:07 pm #501669Hi Tom,
Thank you for the reply.
No, I just wondered when Joomlart modules would allow EasyBlog categories to be part of the module selection parameters, for example:
Content Slider……………….Joomla/K2/Image Folder
Content Pop Up…………….Joomla
Accordion…………………….Joomla Articles and Categories (the modules selection does work with EasyBlog categories)
Sidenews……………………..Joomla/K2 Articles or Category
Newsticker……………………Joomla/K2It would seem logical if you are now featuring EasyBlog in your new and future templates that Joomlart modules should allow access to content written in EasyBlog otherwise your modules will become surplus to requirements.
Easyblog is an excellent product (perfect combination with Joomlart) and I use it all the time in JA Mitius but rarely use the Joomlart modules because they cannot access content in EasyBlog.
Is there a timeframe for this to be included in the Joomlart modules?

It do sounds interesting. I will ask the team to research on it and may be in August template we can have some modules updated for the same.

Arvind

August 9, 2013 at 11:01 am #501765Thank you Drarvindc, that would be very helpful indeed (I am using Joomla 3.1.5)
I know adding a Tag selection option in the Joomlart modules (as well as Categories) is further down the design road, but when Categories and Tags are 2 selection options for Joomla/K2/Easyblog in Joomlart Modules it would make them extremely flexible and perfect in so many ways…………..:)

August 11, 2013 at 1:40 pm #501855The August template, JA Fixel, looks superb, now it would be absolutely perfect if items with EasyBlog categories/tags were available as well as the items with joomla categories/tags in the home page/other pages collection (in other words not just on the Easyblog page/section)……..:)

August 27, 2013 at 4:38 am #503553Hi dealthenuts,
Sorry mate, its not done for August template. We have some priority tasks at hand and resources are being pushed to finish those tasks. One of them has been completed, you can check the download section of JATC templates
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=497
The blog post and details are being worked upon. We have finished compatibility testing for over 10 extensions for all the latest T3 v3 templates (except JA Smashboard – its a tricky template).
We are also going to release a new free component this week – keep eye on the blog and we would also announce the beta new site of JA. The ongoing tasks at hand are JA Social, JA Nex and JA Teline IV upgrade to T3v3 framework and we are hiring more developers to handle the extension work.
I want to make the extensions in question compatible with easyblog, its just matter of time. Bear with us.
Regards
Arvind

August 27, 2013 at 8:44 am #503589Cheers drarvindc, I appreciate the heads up, completely understand the priority tasking and happy to wait, the new site and features look very exciting indeed!
I downloaded the compatibility extension but received the following error when uploading to my site via Extension Manager (using Joomla 3.1.5):
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Should I upload in a different way?

August 27, 2013 at 9:02 am #503594Hi dealthenuts,
This special package is not an extension yet, that is why you got the error message when installing in Extension Manager >> Install. Well, after attracting the package, you can open /guide/index.html, our detailed guides on how to use package’s files are included inside.

Ref above comments by Arvind in the thread towards the end of August, I followed the guide and installed the compatibility files on JA Mitius, T3v3, Joomla 3.1.5, but have not noticed any difference.
Can you let me know what Joomlart module(s) now allow Easyblog categories and/or tags to be used with this, or if not what does it do and how does it work?

September 21, 2013 at 6:42 am #506543Hi dealthenuts,
It seems that the userguide of our Compatibility package quitely makes confused here. Can you try to move the compatible.less to folder templates/ja_mitius/less/compatible/ ? Then go to Template Manager to Compile Less to Css again. After that, you can see that there are new updated styles of some popular components (Kunena, EasyBlog, Downloads…) at the end of template.css file.
On the second question, we didn’t release any modules using the EasyBlog content last month August. Anyways, lets me ask the dev team for the exact confirmation on this new module. I will back to reply you in details later.
