September 16, 2011 at 12:37 am #412978I looked up the site hallhome.us and at first it displays the mobile view – but after I click on “desktop version” (The link in footer) it shows the desktop version properly on my phone. I have attached the picture.
Thanks.

September 16, 2011 at 2:21 am #412996ok.. so the blackberry behaves strangely 😛
I’ve spent the last 3hrs doing nothing but researching and testing your site. I was able to “force” your site to be in what is as near as I can tell “desktop” mode. As it turns out this is a HUGE area that is NOT template / device specific. Even on the blackberry dev site there are numerous techniques and counter techniques even dependent on particular OS and browser being used.
Having said all that we’ve once again ran the site through every smart device we could lay our hands on and a special blackberry simulator made by blackberry themselves ( i had to join their dev team for that ) and custom modifying your /plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/blocks/head.phpwith

you’r more then welcome to play with these settings
I believe at this time we’ve given you our “best effort” at supporting you. I hope your site now functions as you desire. Please understand this went far beyond standard “template” support.

September 16, 2011 at 2:35 am #413002I am extremely grateful for you figuring out this issue. I had actually joined the BlackBerry Developer site as well to download the emulator so I could be assured it was not just my phone.
I am so happy that this issue was resolved. I also hope that this will help with anybody else in the future that has this problem.
Once again, thank you to all who helped.
The JoomlArt team came through for me!

Viet Vu
Thank you… this was a real beast to figure out… I must have tried 100 different variants before I started finding one that would even remotely work. and then forever trying to figure out which setting to tweak and just how much.
