Dear All,
I have been trying to use JA Antares on a server using php 5.2 and get a division by zero error and serious formatting issues that make the template (and others for that matter) unusable. I have had the host check that it is not a server issue and between us we have found many instances of JA Antares that do not work on php 5.2 e.g.
http://www.eyeempire.com/
http://www.tntt-elizabeth.org/
http://www.anny1.com/I would be grateful if someone from Joomlart could tell me what they are doing to make the templates compatible with php 5.2 as nowhere on the site does it mention incompatibility issues.
If Joomlart is not addressing this issue, i feel I should at least be entitled to a refund.
I look forward to a response.
Mark

March 27, 2007 at 5:16 pm #216601Have you tried to test with other templates? I will make a test on the PHP5 tomorrow and come back with the result.
By the way, your 3 months subscription give the license to use the template on 1 domain and you are using on 3 domains. This violate our terms of use.
Kindly remove the template on 2 domains.March 27, 2007 at 5:35 pm #216607I have tried several templates (Antares, Pollux, Zenia and I think Zibal) and all return the same error. By the way, I am not ‘using’ the template on 3 domains/servers. I have installed the template on other servers for test purposes and removed them because they don’t work. If you are referring to the examples I gave these are not my domains; they are domains that were found by doing a google search that use Antares and have returned the same error.
Thanks for looking into this for me. I really like the tempates and would like to use more of them. Unfortunately, if they don’t work, I will not renew my membership.

I or one of the moderator will get back to you on this issue shortly
For the time being, can you tried other templates from other providers to see if you have the same errors?March 27, 2007 at 5:54 pm #216612Thanks for the quick response.
I have tried other templates and they work as intended.

March 27, 2007 at 6:23 pm #216621Uhm, I think we have a clue
The error is not problem of JA template or PHP5, but a problem of Joomla 1.0.11
Reference: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,90230.0/prev_next,next.html
Please upgrade to the latest Joomla version which may fix problemMarch 27, 2007 at 7:13 pm #216631V12 is installed and this is where I get the error.
I have tried various combinations of Joomla and php. The only commonalitiy (where the error always occurs) is php 5.2 and not various version of Joomla.
I hope this helps.

March 28, 2007 at 2:19 am #216649Mark,
There are some JA templates get the error “Division by zero” and we fix most of them. The templates you are using may not the latest version. I suggest that you should re-download those templates to make a try again.March 28, 2007 at 11:05 am #216698How can I do this as my membership has expired.
I will renew my membership if the templates work so could you e-mail me the latest version of Antares to mark@trainanddevelop.co.uk and I will try it out.
If it works, I will renew my membership, if not…

Sounds like the email client “You’ve Got Mail!”April 9, 2007 at 2:02 pm #217536Thanks for your help guys. The division by zero error is now solved, but another problem has cropped up, this time with IE7.
If you replace the logo at the top of the template with another that is higher than the default, then the top menu bar does not move down the page as it does with IE6 and FF; the top menu is visible and it is covering a portion of the newlogo.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Mark
