February 5, 2012 at 4:06 pm #173566I’ve raised this issue in an earlier thread, so apologize for asking again. Seems the Jshop product view or product Details page opens under the home page slideshow, which is a problem on my website.
Based on previous info regarding this subject I’ve done the following:
1. Created a menu item in the Main Menu called Products (Type: JoomShopping/Shop; Required Settings: Show/Products/Random).
2. Created a sub-menu under Products called Product Page ( Type: JoomShopping/Products; Required Settings: Show/Products/Random).I have turned off the ‘menu title’ on the Products menu so it doesn’t appear on the main page.
I have placed the Product Page menu on a different profile (all pages reside here except Home and Products).
I have created a link on an image in the home page that opens the Product Page. The problem is the product Details page ends up opening back on the home page, under the slideshow.
This is very frustrating so any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

February 16, 2012 at 7:32 pm #438609I ran into this same problem. See this thread to see if it may help.
Also, I found that I had to delete/purge caches as well as the T3 cache. It still seemed to take some time for the product context to correct itself once I made changes but restarting my web server (apache2 in my case) seemed to make the changes take effect faster.
June 19, 2012 at 12:30 am #457930Having the same problem on http://www.piera.co.nz
Have setup a menu structure as per various threads on the issue – however I do not have a menu item type called ‘shop’, so used a type called ‘products’ as the parent item (have listed all menu item types I can see below).Interestingly, if I use the menu to access ‘products’ the url is http://www.piera.co.nz/products
however when clicking on the product-detail-link it goes to http://www.piera.co.nz/product/view/1/181 <—note the missing ‘s’ as in ‘product’ and displays the details way down the BOTTOM of the homepage – grrrrrrTried a work around, by changing the menu items alias to ‘product’ this them causes the a 404 error when clicking on the link to get item
details. Now, I may be being impatient, and caught in the cache issue – but have cleared all caches, and reload the browser to refresh (holding shift key) to pull directly from the site. No joy. Does anyone know where joomshopping is being cached?
What have I done wrong? or advice to fix. All help appreciated, site needs to go live asap and this is killing me!

ProductsJune 19, 2012 at 1:05 am #457931^ please ignore. It seems that it’s a browser cache issue. I opened the site using a different browser – firefox (was using chrome) and the shopping section is behaving as it should. Many thanks to the previous people who had posted solutions.:-*
