What about upgrading JoomShopping?

JA Fixel is boundled with JoomShopping 4.3.1 Pro (05.08.2013).
It seems to be a magic number while Maxxmarketing gmbh does not list it in the Version History but we can find it at their updates
My initial issue is that I decided to install a language pack but it causes the usual XML installation error in Joomla (3.4.0).
Ok let me check this JS version… maybe it is outdated. Yes. There is a newer one numbered 4.9.1.

1. May I simply install it over the current version without any data loss?
2. Can I add language pack to this new one with no error?
3. Should their language packs referring to their JS version number? (most of them starting with 2.9.X or 3.1.X :-[)
4. What can be lost leaving “Pro” version to free? (nothing found about “Pro”)

Any experience?

Hi palosutca,

Up to now, JA Fixel supports JoomShopping version 4.7.1 . It’s not ready for the latest version so we are warranty it works perfect or not.

In case that you want to get the latest version, try to create a new test site and update to the latest version and see whether it works properly or not.

I will also report to the team to update this new version in upcoming release version of this template.
