    Hello everybody,

since the 1th of august 2012 new laws become effective for onlineshops in germany. For these ones, who can understand a little bit of the german language, the following pdf will be very important, to understand the new guide lines of the german law:
    http://www.shopbetreiber-blog.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/120612_Muster-Bestellseite.pdf

Using the joomshopping modul, I felt VERY happy, because it is developed by a german community (I think?!). They supported very fast a new version update with the required changes. But in this case, they also publicated a new joomshopping template, version 3.9.0, called “defaultg”, and if I activate this in my ja_tiris template (changing joomshopping template “ja_tiris” to “defaultg”), it losts his style in the frontend – the reason is serious, but how can I fix that or adapt the new js-template “defaultg” with the old “ja_tiris”.

I’ve recognized, that there are differents css files in /components/com_jshopping/css . The css files look very different on the first view :(( .

Has anybody some experience with this case? Perhaps here are some more german users for whom this topic is really important. If you dont work for this new updates, you will be admonish.

    Have a nice weekend everybody!

    Made by guys in MΓΌnchen.

We don’t have this problem in Switzerland πŸ™‚

ACHTUNG! ALL OF THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

If you like risk and are up for trying new things……

I have not been through the files to see the differences but I think that the changes for the cart/warenkorb sit in a file called previewfinish.php which sits in /components/com_jshopping/templates/ja_tiris/checkout/

rename previewfinish.php to old_previewfinish.php so that you have a backup and can revert

Here is a new file – a very quick hack – 23060 that should keep the styling from Tiris while complying with the new laws. Unzip it and ftp it to /components/com_jshopping/templates/ja_tiris/checkout/

My dev Tiris is now so hacked that I don’t know if looks right or not!! πŸ™‚

You can try it but as I said, it is totally at your risk. Don’t complain if it doesn’t work for you or ruins your site. Take an akeeba backup first. Better still test it on a newly backed up test or dev site – not a live site.

But let me know if it does work! πŸ˜€

    UPDATE:-

There are 4 files you need to change if you want to stay with using the ja_tiris joomshopping template and not have to use defaultg, As @maenski mentioned this is only for German users or those who sell into Germany.

This is MY hack. It is tested ONLY on 3.9 not on 3.8.x or 3.7.x or lower. If you don’t do a backup first or at the very least take a copy of the original files first then you are asking for trouble. Do that backup! I’m a php novice so this hack is supplied “as is” and you use it at your own risk.

    23061

    All files go to /components/com_jshopping/templates/ja_tiris/checkout/

Good luck, take care, make that backup!

    mfg / Viel Spass

    Hey swissa, you got it.

Perhaps we should develop step by step – or,..stop, you develope – I test it πŸ˜€

    1. Step:
You hack the previewfinish and I change the files “ice cold πŸ˜‰ ” and it worked. There is just one thing, what is different from the original defaultg template. The product description is not hyperlinked to the product page (you can see that the “ale” is linkdecorated in the column “bezeichnung”). I’ve took two screenshots to compare it.

I think I’ll wait for your feedback on this – perhaps the screens contains some important things for you. After you’ll say to me, that everything else, I’ll test your new Update (Post #3).

So – I still wait for your status. (Perhaps you can also find a way to set the hyperlink :-* ).

    Yours,
    Maenski

Layout mainly. Mine looks better! (Thanks JA). In v2 of mine I have put in the navigation menΓΌ which the German regs require. That’s it I think.

I put the nav into all the other files too that’s why I included them in the zip file.

    Happy Testing! πŸ˜‰

Might have to hack the cart for the link back. Does it not link on the image?

    #465345

    Works fine!

I didn’t recognized that you’ve linked the image. But thats very fine. It would be an exzellent addition, if a click on the image will be opened “_blank”. Furthermore the “ale” (I dont now, is it the product name? or description?) should be linked to the product (target _blank). I’ve edited the screenshot. Thank you! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the image. Shows that I left the navigation out of the final php file. >:(

    So here is a new set – v2.0. 23065

Using _blank would just cause confusion. Lots of widows open with product in them and the user forgets which has the cart. Much better that you click and it all stays in the same browser window, I think. And if I hack for the product name to link it means hacking more files for people to change. Image link should be good enough for a freebee! πŸ™‚

    Hey swissa.

Okay, I can understand your arguments against the blank – it’s right, it could be to confused.

In the case of the product link, I don’t need it, but the law! It’s a special bullet of the new law. Would it be so hard to change that? Because you got the image also linked?

    Germans and their laws eh?!!

Unzip it and this file goes in /tempaltes/ja_tiris/cart/ to replace the old checkout.php. I think that should solve it.

    Yeah,

    awesome πŸ™‚

To end this chapter in an exzellent way ( πŸ˜‰ ) I’ve got one last correction. I think I can remember, that the “Kaufen”-Button has to be directly under the costs. I’ve painted a screen πŸ™‚ :

    Was? Noch mehr WΓΌnsche? :p

Hier sind alle Dateien mit einem “readme”. Diese Dateien sind nur fΓΌr Version 3.9 und nicht auf v3.10, v3.8, usw. getestet.

Here are all the files with a “readme”. These files are only for version 3.9 and have not been tested on v3.10, v3.8, etc.

Please test them and if okay I’ll start a new thread just with the files in. πŸ™‚

    Hey switzer swissa!

I’ve seen that you provide a file for v3.10.

    Could this steps be usefull?:

    1) Having 3.9. updating those files:
Files supplied with no guarantees – use at your own risk.

    /components/com_jshopping/templates/ja_tiris/cart/

    checkout.php
    cart.php
    wishlist.php

    /components/com_jshopping/templates/ja_tiris/checkout/

    adress.php
    payments.php
    previewfinish.php
    shippings.php

For checkout default css for table is off by 5px. change code
    ja_tiris.css line 485
    table.cart-table td { border-bottom: 1px solid #eee padding: 5px 5px; vertical-align:middle; }

    2)
updating js 3.9 to 3.10 and then using experimental file for v3.10 cart. Should include manufacturers in cart but untested.

    Thanks,
    maenski

    in addition to #12:

    1) -> works fine. No problems. Also the css changes (what changes?! ) didnt evoke any bugs.

For testing step 2), i’ll wait for your okay, if the process could work on my setup.

    Thanks to Schweitz.
