Hi,
I just joined and I’m trying to get JA Teline IV to work with Jreviews.
But like someone already stated the JA News Featured Module or any of the modules don’t produce thumbnails (with jreviews listings).
The developer of Jreviews says “You need to get the image path from jos_content.images and have the script process it”
Has anyone else managed to get this working? It doesn’t seem that this would be to hard to do.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
ChrisI probably posted this in the wrong section – but don’t know how to change it.

February 20, 2011 at 8:50 pm #377590Hi,
I couldn’t give my ftp information – so they could diagnose it. Also, JA News Pro doesn’t work with Jreviews.
I’ll let you know if I figure it out – sofar no luck.

That means when installing jreviews, ja news featured module does not produce thumbnails any more or smth? Please describe the issue in more details. Thank you.February 21, 2011 at 1:17 pm #377757Hi Hungnd,
–
Here is a link to a listing page(below) – see the thumbnail picture of the hotel on the right – jreviews doesn’t store the picture in the article. The developer said “”You need to get the image path from jos_content.images and have the script process it”. And they have several of modules that do that – but me and a lot of others like your templates (modules). There is also a free trial if you would like to look / and I know the developer would answer any questions on their forum – since people have been asking them how to get your modules/templates to work. Thanks.Kind regards,
Chrishttp://demo.reviewsforjoomla.com/new-york-reviews/16-hotels/62-hotel-giraffe
February 21, 2011 at 3:08 pm #377775Hello,
I also had an issue with Content – JA Thumbnail plugin – it was causing the thumbnail not to show on the listing page. And this is what Jreviews support said (below). I turned it off and my jreviews thumbnails showed up.
But since jreviews creates thumbnails – can JA News Pro use those? Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Chris“The problem is caused by “Content – JA Thumbnail” plugin.
You’ll need to disable it for the thumbnails to show up.The plugin takes all images on listing detail page and creates a slideshow based on them, but it can’t work with JReviews images.”

Did you manage to get this to work? I am also using Teline IV with jReviews and hoping to get janewspro to display the images from jos_content.images but no luck so far.
Any guidance or code examples anyone could help with would be very appreciated.

June 14, 2011 at 10:22 am #396264@all: after checking back again, I wonder if this is an issue of JA teline iv?? or just how jreview works with joomla?

June 15, 2011 at 6:56 pm #396543Sorry to say, but jreviews uses the simple standard article framework of joomla. Whenever you create an article, you can use it with jreviews as well. So creating an article on ja teline IN combination of ja thumbnail is causing an error. As the earlier poster has said, it seems the images are stored different.

June 24, 2011 at 2:28 am #398137Thanks Nick,
We have tested and finally confirmed this an compatibility issue of Teline IV and Ja thumbnail with Jreviews. Our devs will need some time to sort it out, I will get back to ya when there is any news.
