February 29, 2012 at 3:02 pm #174442Every time the JShop product page is entered the position, or order, of the products changes. How do I keep the product positions/order from changing? This seems like it should be easy to configure, but I haven’t found the correct config setting yet? Your help is appreciated.

February 29, 2012 at 10:28 pm #440971I’m at risk of sounding like another forum here but can you give me the link that you have in your “Link” on the edit menu item page please? I would like to see if you are asking the page to present random products which would explain it.
If it is okay then we can work through the set of JS.

February 29, 2012 at 10:35 pm #440974Hmmm, I’m sorry I don’t understand the link you mention? Attached are two screenshots showing initial product order and then the order after a screen refresh. You can see the products change their position. Where should I look for the link you mention?

February 29, 2012 at 10:47 pm #440976Hoi rud0lph.
Before we go further just please be aware that as you know I am not Joomlart staff or support/moderator so please make sure that you have an up-to-date backup. Akeeba is the best that I know.
You said in first post that every time the “product page” is entered. I took that to mean that you have a menu item that says “Product page”. It was this link that I was after. You can see it by going to menu manager, click on the menu item and then on the left there shows a LINK – it starts index.php?
So I’ll ask another question too. On the right hand side of the same page in Required settings could you please post a picture? I think you have picked maybe the random products menu – it is why it will change every time. If you look in pic 1 it is random and in pic 2 seems to be alphabetical.
Do you understand what I mean?

February 29, 2012 at 10:52 pm #440978Ahhh, understand. And you’re correct, the ‘Show’ setting in Required Settings is set to ‘Products/Random’. Which setting keeps the products in alpha listing order?

I had thought this! 🙂
If you just pick “All* you should be okay. If you still have problems then we must go to JoomShopping set-up to set the product sorting.

February 29, 2012 at 11:02 pm #440980There isn’t an ‘All’ setting, so is the small dash (-) at the top of the list considered ‘All’.

February 29, 2012 at 11:07 pm #440983Tiris, 1.7.2, 3.2.7. I selected the dash at the top of the list and the products don’t change anymore, so I assume that is ‘All’?
