December 2, 2012 at 4:28 am #182750The jshopping search feature doesn’t appears to work. I tried search for the category of Jeans and T-Shirts and neither search return any results. I tried the same test on the Demo site and Jeans did return but T-Shirts or Jackets did not. I need this feature before I launch my site so it’s critical.

December 2, 2012 at 10:26 am #474911Hi myfassion
I’ve checked your website and made a search on t-shirt category and it worked same thing for Jackets category
Regarding the Jeans category as you can see on the image you have no articles inside it so the search returns empty

Pavit thank you for responding. I should have been more specific. If I type in the text of t-shirts or jeans the search does not work. If I select a Manufacture or the drop down that appears to work.pavit Moderatorpavit

December 2, 2012 at 4:30 pm #474922Hi
I tried to make a search for t-shirt with “red ” word and it’s worked
clearly for jeans it’s not working because you haven’t articles inside it

So I can not enter “T-Shirts” in the text box and the search engine returns all manufactures for that category. Is that what I’m to understand? if so this is still a flaw because the natural way customers will search is categories across manufactures. In fact looking at the defaults of the search reflects this fact. Categories is set ti “All” along with manufactures. Please advise.

December 2, 2012 at 5:47 pm #474928Sorry
In your jShopping search page if i leave the text field empty and make a search for T-Shirts category i will have all articles contained in the category i choosed
Also text field empty manufacturer different also working fine, same thing for price rangeIf i insert in the text field any other word matching with tags used to describe articles in the category selected i will have correctly showed the article searched example : ( text field filled with “red” word – T-Shirts containing that word correctly showed )
