I use the JA-Onepage template with the scroll functionality on the homepage (to jump to page position) but also for subpages. Jumping to a position on the homepage via the menu as described in the manual works great. But as soon as I want to jump to a position on the home page from a ‘subpage’ its not, or better, Joomla seems to change the URL I specified in the menu to a relative link with only the selector in it.

So when I enter index.php#homepagelink1 as external URL, Joomla changes this immediately to #homepagelink1. This is ok when you’re still at the homepage but not an a subpage. I even tried to enter the full URL, but that is also changed back tot #homepagelink1.

How can I prevent Joomla from changing the entered Menu URL so that is possible to jump from a subpage back to a position on the homepage. Hope somebody can help me out. Thanks

By the way…this is the link to the test site where you can see what I mean. Selecting a menu option takes you to a position on the homepage. Via ‘Themes’ you can get to a subpage and as soon as you are on a subpage the menu ain’t working anymore (except for home off course).

    Hi windracht20,

Can you try to set No to Use URL rewriting in Site >> Global setting ? Because I will lead your URL remain format /index.php/

    Hi Leo,

Thanks for your reply. The ‘Use URL rewriting’ option was already set to ‘NO’ (as were all SEO settings)

    Hi windkracht20,

A small question: Did you change something in templatesja_onepagetplsblocksheader.php ?
Because your homepage menu item link is really different with our released demo. Anyway, would you mind sending me a PM with both admin & ftp account for fixing this issue ?

    Hi Bjorn,

I did check your backend carefully, could see that all configurations of Menu items & “onepage” position modules are OK.
So, my suggestion that you should BACKUP all your customized template files, then update with our latest version 1.0.2 of JA Onpage which contains many updates for template file.

    * You can update template using JAEM component, here is the userguide:
