I am not sure how much this forum will teach you about Joomla but we can surely help you with some information about templates and how to get the Joomlart templates to look at their best.
For learning Joomla I would recommend compassdesigns.net website with a lot of tutorials and information. Also read the user manual over at joomla.org.
Run around in the forums of joomla.org as well or check if your country has a local joomla organization website which can also help you with translations and other stuff! 🙂
