I much prefer K2’s category blog to the default Teline category blog. How do I get the template to display the K2 category rather than the default? (I understand how to use it via a menu, but I’d like the JA News2 component to recognize K2.

Hi There,

JA News 2 doesnot support K2 categories yet. It is on the cards and would be updated somewhere in August.

Thanks. It appears Joomla 1.6 will remove sections in favor of unlimited categories. Is JA News 2 compatible with the Beta 5 released today, or will that also be tackled in August?

Hi,

We update / upgrade for Joomla 1.6, once the stable version is released. We wont support Beta versions.

You might want to look at “Flexi-Content” if you need a solution now similar to K2. In many ways I find it superior and does allow you to have unlimited categories without the need for hacking Joomla so I think it would work fine with Teline III currently although I’ve not tried it myself.
