I want the Frontpage Module to use a K2 category and its children, rather than Joomla articles. However, when I select the K2 categories, the frontpage section is blank. What is the best way to use K2 in the Frontpage module? Currently, I have frontpage picking from Joomla and news sections displaying K2 articles.

I’ve answered my own question. For K2 items to appear in the frontpage, simply select “Featured”.

Addendum: To get the most-recently created articles to appear first, you must select ‘most recent first’ in the sorting order section of the Frontpage module. Otherwise, the module puts the most-recently modified article (even if the modification is minor, such as selecting “featured”) first.
