How about simply changing this file name::

templates/ja_teline_iv/html/com_k2/templates/teline_iv_blog/category_item.php to anything 🙂

Renaming this file category_item.php to something like category_item1.php will not bring it in effect hence, bringing the original core k2 file which would give you almost similar look needed 🙂

You can decrease in padding value here, now ::

.itemBlogList div.catItemHeader {k2.css (line 1818)
padding: 0 0 0 70px;
position: relative;
}

You can select the specific options to hide as suggested here for author

For time, You can choose it to hide in parameters
