March 16, 2012 at 1:44 pm #175064Hi
Using the K2 User module with the template generates some problems.
1. The JCE Editor width is wider than the template container.
2. Some options of the form need to be configured and disabled. Please see attached image for more details.
Urgent.
Thank you

March 19, 2012 at 12:39 pm #444515Hi there,
to make JCE the default editor, go to Site > Global configuration > Default Editor (select JCE)
To change the default editor width, go to Components > JCE > Editor Profiles > Default > (Tab) Editor Parameters > Default width and adjust the width you need there. Also please consider enabling the frontpage editor profile to disable stuff you don’t want a front page user have access to.
To remove the user related settings like language and editor, you should disable it under Users > User manager > Options (top right button) and set Frontend User Parameters to “Hide”. You can specify the default editor and language for your users in Extensions > language manager if you want your users to change the language and other settings. I’d suggest disabling it.
Cheers
Frank

I guess you are describing the solution here as described in quoted text , in Joomla 2.5 , however I am using Joomla 1.5.
Any suggestions??

March 20, 2012 at 8:23 am #444683Hi there,
your’re right. The Frontend User Parameters are at a different place in J1.5. Go to Site > Global Configuration > System > set “Front-end User Parameters” to Hide.
Sorry for the mixup!
Cheers

March 27, 2012 at 11:11 pm #446020Hi!
It seems that there are no arabic strings for the account settings. Look into your arabic language file of K2
languagear-aaar-AA.com_k2.ini
and see what strings are missing compared to the english language file. You can get the latest language files for K2 here http://getk2.org/extend/translations
Do the same for the core joomla language files.
Cheers

Thank you . I will check that. I guess I solved this since few days already. The problem was that this strings were added as they are in php files , and they did not call K2 String from the text file. So added the strings in K2 Arabic file , and changed the php file strings accordingly.
Hope that you can help me with these 2 threads please.
