March 17, 2011 at 5:35 pm #161595Evening, just wanted to be clear on something. If I upload the JA Methys template it will not be exactly like the demo site? Do i understand correctly that the Fashion Showcase is not included?

You need to install the quickstart package if you want your site look exactly the demo site,if not you need to install the extension following the JA Methys’s userguide.

March 19, 2011 at 12:25 pm #382242Thanks dathq, so does that mean that the Fashion Showcase is included as I cannot find that module in the quickstart files? I like the K2 Fashion Showcase and would like to use it on another joomlart site I have designed using Teline IV.

March 19, 2011 at 12:35 pm #382243The K2 fashion showcase is part of the included layouts for K2. It is not a special module in itself that could easilly be used on a different template. It would require moving css and some other files over to make that on a different template.

March 19, 2011 at 12:49 pm #382246Hi Phil,
Thanks for the explanation. Is it something a beginner like myself could do?
On another note does that mean the property search function in JA_Portfolio is the same?
I guess I am trying to achieve two things; one is where I want to display items like in the Fashion Showcase on my site and the second is where I would like to be able to search for properties I have added.

March 19, 2011 at 1:03 pm #382250The property search thing in portfolio is an extenstion available to download if you are a JAEC or Developer member. All details can be found here – http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/extensions/ja-k2-search
As for getting the Fashion Showcase layout into a different template it would require some html and css knowledge. I you are not familiar with this then it might be worth paying someone over on joomlancers.com to do the work for you. I’m not too familiar with K2 myself as I do not use it so I cannot say exactly how much work would be involved.
