Can’t find the JA K2 Filter comp/module/plugin in the JA Directory download package .

Is it supposed to be included with the template or do I need to buy it as well?

Hi
JA Directory package comes with a template and complimentary extensions.
JA K2 filter is a commercial extension that is not part of the package.
We mentioned the same information on the template information page here
You need to buy JAEC or single extension to get it.
