Quick setup for K2 Component used in JA Ores demo site

JA Ores supports K2 Component with Blog Layout. K2 is the popular powerful Content Construction Kit component for Joomla! developed by JoomlaWorks.

This aims to be a complete reference for developers using manual installation, a guide on how to setup K2 Component like the demo site and the quickstart package.

Please refer to the official documentation on how to install and setup K2

1. Adding K2 Latest Items in Main Menu:

Go to Joomla! Admin>>Menu>> Main Menu:

This will open a configuration panel for the newly created menu item, so please follow the steps described below :

Step 2 – Selecting users who posted K2 items

Step 3 – Selecting categories:

2. Setting up K2 Catogories: Go to Joomla! Admin>>Components>>K2, Click on Catogories tab.

In configuration page, you can set parameters as shown below:

In notice that in this tutorial you have ores as a template option in category setup. how have you manged that please?

problem is in :

but I have only one template to select: Default 🙁

I’ve seen what you mean…perhaps updating your template will show you the dropdown.
But I have the dropdown in a new install…and it does nothing…as Ores is the default template.
