Does Kranos support K2 sub-template overrides?

They would be stored in templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates

I assume K2 will find the sub-templates in that path, but will the k2 sub-templates override the k2.css ?

I use K2 templates a lot…K2 will find the overrides (templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates/<template-folder> but need to be selected per category in K2 admin or 1 category with the others inheriting..This applies to any Joomla Template really..

I just use the same K2.css for all however there is a plugin knocking about on the JED that allows for per category CSS. Maybe this feature has been enabled in K2 2.5x but not sure..

I wrote that post at in the middle of the night my time so maybe I got a little confused.

I am under the impression that when you use K2 sub-templates that are selected per category, the sub-template css file is loaded instead of the k2.css.

    See screenshot of primocarft.com:

primocraft.com was one of my first joomla sites so I had forgotten what I had done.

I had installed a K2 Plugin – One css per K2 template. The plugin description states, “Description: This K2 plugin enables 1 css file for 1 k2 template. If you’ve created a k2 template called ‘mytpl’ and affected it to a k2 category, the plugin will automatically add the css file ‘templates/YOURJOOMLATEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates/mytpl/mytpl_style.css’ to the document stylesheet list when the k2 category or an item of this category will be displayed.”

Maybe this is why I was assuming I would be seeing the sub-templates “mytpl_style.css” in firebug instead of k2.css

    Does this make sense?

Wow, obviously I’m foggy after 4 hours of sleep after picking up this new client….

I found that free plugin and you might want to try it:

    Hi,

Yeah, that was the plugin I was referring to. I’ve been waiting for them to update to Joomla 1.7 which it looks like they have now so might give it a try myself….Glad it all working for you..
