    Hello All

I,m facing a very strange problem. I have installed ja_wall quick-start package. When I tried to add a tag in k2 item in back-end it doesn’t work. I have tried entering comma or press enter but it doesn’t work at all. I was thinking about jquery or mootools conflict. Because JA_Wall is using several JavaScript libraries. Does any one faced the same issue ??? Please help

    Thanks in advance

Try updating to the latest version of k2? Or if you are already using the latest version of K2, then try looking at this thread.

The quick-start package as it is shouldn’t have this problem and jquery are not set to run in backend.

    Hello arucardx

Thanks a lot for your replay. The post you mentioned was by me. Posted answer is not related with tag. It was k2’s one of common issue which is fixed in 2.6.1. I have also posted in k2 forum too. But they didn’t gave any solution 🙁 . Can you help ?

    Thanks

Hi Dxenaretionx @arucardx has more experience with JA Wall, so he can help you fix this issue.

*scratch head* Seems your problem is with some backend component you installed. I was playing around with autocomplete the other day and it seems that K2 is using the same jquery-ui to power the tag entries.

Since it’s a jquery conflict, easiest way to fix this if you can’t figure out what component is the cause would be to give this plugin a try.

There’s a option to set jquery to none or remove conflicting jquery libraries so there is only 1 loading in the backend. Careful though, if you end up being unable to access the backend, you will need to go enter mysql database to disable the plugin. Actually this handy little plugin works for the frontend of JA Wall as well, but I forgot why I don’t use it anymore….
